Body found in Black Mountains identified as missing Hereford man

THE body of a man found in the Black Mountains yesterday (Feb 17) has been identified as missing Hereford man Michael Ruck.

Mr Ruck, 45, had not been seen since leaving work in Hereford on Thursday (Feb 14). On Saturday his vehicle was found by police parked near to Grwyne Fawr Reservoir in the Brecon Beacons National Park.

Officers searched the area for Mr Ruck, but his body was discovered by a member of the public yesterday at around 3.30pm, a few miles from where his car was found abandoned.

Formal identification has already taken place and the death is currently being treated as unexplained.

This is so sad, I went to college with Mike for almost three years. Can't quite believe it....sending love to his family xx

This news knocked me for six when I got the call, I've only known Mike for say the last 6 months and we've had some highs and lows but all out laughs. I never got to meet his family and I can only imagin what they are going through. I would like to come and pay my respects to him and his family, but I have know idea of the dates, can anybody help me ?

Very sad news indeed. I don't know if this will happen,but generally a death notice is placed in the obituary section of the Hereford Times, which will detail the funeral arrangements.Sometim
es if a death is un-explained there is an inquest,this can delay proceedings.Hope this is of some help. My sincerest condolences to his family and friends.
