TWO adults and two children were taken to hospital following a three-car crash over the weekend. 

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the A4172 near the Trumpet Inn in Trumpet at 3.55pm yesterday. 

Two BASICS Doctors from MARS (Mercia Accident Rescue Service), a paramedic area support officer, two ambulance crews and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham attended.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews arrived to find one of the cars on its roof. Its male driver and five year old boy passenger were both out of the vehicle. The boy had a serious hand injury and was flown to Birmingham Children’s Hospital. The man was discharged at the scene with minor abrasions.

“In the second car were a woman driver and a 13 year old boy. The woman had a chest injury. She was immobilised and was taken to Hereford County Hospital in the same ambulance as the boy who had minor knee and head injuries.

“The third car was in some trees. Its woman driver had been trapped in the vehicle for some time. She appeared to have a minor head injury. She was immobilised and taken to Hereford County Hospital.”
