FIVE people - including two children - were injured in a collision involving three cars in Herefordshire yesterday.
Emergency services were called to the A4172 near the Trumpet Inn in Trumpet where they found one of the cars on its roof with its male driver and five-year-old boy passenger both out of the car.
The boy had a serious hand injury and was flown to Birmingham Children’s Hospital while the man was discharged at the scene with minor abrasions.
In the second car was a female driver and a 13-year-old boy. The woman had a chest injury and was immobilised before being taken to Hereford County Hospital with the boy, who had minor knee and head injuries.
The third car was found in some trees, and its female driver had been trapped in the car for some time. She was taken to the county hospital with a minor head injury.
West Midlands Ambulance Service, as well as two BASICS Doctors from Mercia Accident Rescue Service, a paramedic area support officer, two ambulance crews and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham also attended the collision.
