AN adaptation of Calendar Girls is coming to the Conquest Theatre, Bromyard, as part of a world record attempt.

Producers of the play, adapted for the theatre by scriptwriter Tim Firth, set the actresses a challenge of breaking the record for most productions of a play in one calendar year.

They will dare to bare to raise money for leukaemia and lymphoma research.

The play is based on the true story of 11 Women’s Institute members in Yorkshire who, after the husband of one of their number lost his life to leukaemia, posed nude in a calendar to raise money for leukaemia research in his memory.

The play by Norbury Theatre Players will be on stage in Bromyard on March 21, 22 and 23.
