THE county’s community music charity, the Music Pool, isunder threatfrom possible Herefordshire Council budget cuts and its director, Rob Strawson,is asking for help and supportfrom Ledbury people.
Although the Music Pool has no specific projects lined up for the Ledbury area in the financial year, 2013/2014, it does run regular special needs workshops inLeominster and Hereford, which are open to county residents, including from Ledbury, and it provides services for Herefordshire’s three special schools, which are attended by some Ledbury children.
The Music Pool has also given workshops in recenttimes for various local pre-school groups.
Mr Strawson said: “We have been supported by Herefordshire Councilfor more than 10 years, but thatis under threat.”
He is asking any local people with concerns to contact Herefordshire Council, or local councillors, and letthose views be known.
