Recruitment sector shake-up as new career planning service launched
9:19am Wednesday 6th March 2013 in News By Bill Tanner
THE county’s recruitment sector gets a shake-up this week with the launch of a new career planning service aimed at school leavers and senior executives alike.
As a sign of the times one of the new venture’s target sectors are those organisations making redundancies and looking to support employees. The 16 to 24 demographic is also specifically targeted.
Stuart Blake, of Hereford based Define Risk Solutions and Herefordshire Recruitment and Career Planning, said the venture came at the request of clients ranging from international organisations through to individual job seekers.
The Career Planning Programme is launched under the DRS-HRCP banner to support individuals in achieving their overall career goals and targets.
Stuart keeps the pitch simple for a product “relevant to all individuals who are entering the employment market wherever their location or whatever their level.”
Within that definition are:
• Individuals who are struggling in their search for employment.
• Those making a strategic career move.
• Individuals who are facing redundancy.
• Organisations that are making redundancies and wish to offer support to their employees.
The overall package - run over four weeks - has scope to include bolt on services such as psychometric testing. Stuart said the £55 plus VAT price represented a cost commensurate with Herefordshire.
Stuart has spent 26 years in the global recruitment market managing teams, directing businesses and leading companies onto the London Stock Exchange.
He said that, current economic malaise or not, greater opportunities will start to be evidenced within the global employment market.
