CHILDREN from Ledbury Primary School have been putting pen to paper in praise of their mums, thanks to a town florist.

Bamboo florist, in the Homend, held a Mother’s Day poetry competition, which attracted more than 40 entries.

The winners were then invited to Bamboo, along with their parents, where they created their own Mother’s Day floral arrangements.

Kathryn Griffiths of Bamboo said: “It was such a difficult task, choosing just six winners, as all the poems were brilliant.

“Some made us almost cry, some made us laugh, but you could tell that all of them had a lot of time and effort put into them.

We hope that all the children are very proud of themselves, for what they created.”
