MODERN youth culture has inspired local teenagers to put a spring in their step for thrilling dance performances.

Sixth formers at the John Masefield High School,in Ledbury, rehearsed hard all term for a show called A Night at the Mobo Awards.

They took to the school stage for what school spokeswoman Wendy Bradbeer, described as “a big event”.

The Mobo Awards, which inspired their contemporary dance moves, were set up in 1995 as an annual celebration of “Music of Black Origin” (MOBO), including modern urban sounds.
