Herefordshire firm supply mealworms for BBC Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw to lie in for Comic Relief

A COUNTY firm supplied two million mealworms to BBC Radio 1 yesterday as part of Comic Relief.

Breakfast show presenter Nick Grimshaw agreed to lie in a bath of mealsworms that were provided by Wiggly Wigglers, based at Blakemere.

"Jessie J, David Walliams, Kate Moss, Union J, Rizzle Kicks and Lenny Henry were all there and we had pizza in the green room with Nick," said Heather Gorringe, proprietor of Wiggly Wigglers.

"A member of Union J, Jessie J, Riizzle Kicks and myself poured the mealworms up to his waist and they were poured over his head - it was great fun.

"I know the crew raised £145,000 even before Nick got into the bath, but I don't know how much they have made since."

You can buy the mealworms that were used for £5.40 for 120g with every £1 going towards Comic Relief.
