Chip pan fire in Symonds Yat

A KITCHEN caught fire at a bungalow in Symonds Yat yesterday.

Two fire engines from Ross-on-Wye, as well as one from Whitchurch and Monmouth, were called just after 5.40pm.

Firefighters used a hose reel and a covering jet to tackle the blaze, before they ventilated the property and isolated the gas and electric supplies.

The fire was caused by a chip pan and there were no reports of any injuries.

Maybe,just maybe that's the last we will hear of Smudge as he makes his way south to Midsomer Warren .
(But knowing how far and wide our posters are spread I doubt it).
