Farmers markets to be a regular feature in Ledbury

FARMERS’ markets are to be a regular feature of Ledbury life.

A three-month trial period under the Market House has been organised
by the Herefordshire Farmers Market Group.

Ledbury Town Council, which owns the space, is supporting the use of the
area.

The arrangements will be reviewed annually

This Farmers Market group is an overpriced bunch of pretentious, middle class chancers.

They thrive off you on the misconception that somehow their items are obviously superior or better in some way than those available elsewhere.

It's claptrap, of course, and you suckers fall for it everytime.

You deserve each other.

Incider, Just hang on my good friend. I can't have this!
If you've recently purchased a million burgers from some dodgy source then I can understand your desperate need to flog them, but don't give our farming community a kicking simply because of your desperate situation and brand them all fools.
I'm guessing from your writing style you've ditched your old Poster name and reinvented yourself and that's ok with me but, express yourself kindly and don't be rude.
My warmest regards to you.

Ode To The Farmers Market.

Don't put down the market,
I feel your words are hasty,
Have you tried their veg and eggs and things?
You'll find them rather tasty!!

Apologies for the distinct lack of any poetic talent - I am on a roll.......!

You will find farmers markets all around the county in nearly every town 'but' because of the charges of parking in nearly every town less people are looking around them.
I wonder how long until the markets will be no more too

What Im saying is- the more the charge of public carparks go up
the more chance they'll seek elsewhere to shop.
I live in a town centre and I've seen a dramatic fall in the amount of people looking around the shops in just the last six months which makes me question whether the council really wants people to use the town centres?

Silentbull, I think you are right to ask this question. As Biomech pointed out to me the other week, all "improvements" have been cancelled if they are not geared towards the OLM. Broad Street / East Street etc. At this rate High Town will be no more - just the shiny new shopping centre that is no different to anywhere else in the country. Herefords identity is being eroded away. Its so sad.
