THE National Trust is opening the doors to its Herefordshire houses and gardens for free this weekend.
Berrington Hall, Brockhampton Estate, Croft Castle and Parkland and The Weir will all be available to visit for free tomorrow, Saturday, and Sunday, saving families about £30.
Visitors to Berrington Hall, near Leominster, can take tours to learn about the lives of servants, discover how the house was designed and tour the family show rooms.
Brockhampton Estate, near Bromyard, is offering guided tours of the mediaeval moated manor house Lower Brockhampton as well as the chance to explore miles of way-marked paths through the estate.
Croft Castle and Parkland, near Leominster, is inviting visitors to explore areas of the castle not usually often open to the public, with new cellar tours.
Visitors to Croft Castle and Parkland can also take tours of the gardens and of the wider countryside, while visitors to the Weir in Swainshill can enjoy the riverside garden.
Each location also has a tea room for refreshments.
