AN artist flew into a Ledbury jewellers during the weekend to help the store mark 75 years of the Spitfire aircraft.
Town-based Tony Coppin spent a morning painting images of the historic wartime planes at JB Gaynan & Son on The Homend.
“I always used to go to Fairford in Gloucestershire for the air show,” said Mr Coppin.
“I have an avid interest in aircraft. I wanted to do something at the shop because they always do great window displays for events such as the Battle of Britain day.”
Karen Owens, director of the jewellers, said interest in his visit was high.
“It was a truly great event and many people came from all over Herefordshire to see him live and demonstrating his outstanding talent along with his finest watercolour exhibits,” she said.
