Friends’ charity cycle
3:00pm Tuesday 13th August 2013 in News
ADVENTURE is out there for two budding cyclists who are looking to pedal their way to fund-raising success.
Best friends Finn Cullerne from Malvern and Tom Cording from Worcester are currently working as barmen and shop assistants between them but they have decided to give up their day jobs to take on an extraordinary challenge.
The 24 year olds have planned to cycle 2,600 miles on a route that takes them from Worcester city centre to Istanbul.
“We wanted to do something adventurous” said Finn, “but we also wanted to raise money for charity”.
The cyclists are raising money for the children’s charity UNICEF.
Both novices in the fundraising arena, the cycling duo have set their target figure at £1,000 but they are hoping that with enough public support they can achieve this and more.
The trip is planned to leave in the first week of September and they are looking to complete their quest within six weeks.
To support them go online to fundraise.unicef.org.uk/MyPage/F inn-Cullerne-WorcesterToIstanbul.
