Bangers and cash time
11:00am Friday 9th August 2013 in News
IT was bangers and cash when a group of guesthouse owners used their cooking skills to raise £800 for Malvern Food Bank.
The Malvern Bed and Breakfast Consortium organised a fund-raising feast alongside volunteers from the food bank. The sausages came from Osborne’s of Malvern Link and the potatoes were provided by local grower Phil Houlbrooke.
The event, at Welland Village Hall, also featured live music and a raffle with prizes from the Nag’s Head, the Marlbank and the Red Lion at Stiffords Bridge.
Ruth Jinks, chairman of the B & B consortium, said: “It was a fun night with lots of happy love and laughter.”
