Remaining bridge decks for Hereford's new river crossing to be put in place tomorrow
THE remaining two pieces of bridge deck for Hereford’s new river crossing are due to be put in place tomorrow.
Early fabrication of the steelwork for the bridge means that the installation of the structure has been made possible a few weeks ahead of schedule and the first piece is to be lifted at around 11am.
The bridge will connect Hereford city at Bartonsham with Rotherwas and will provide a link over the River Wye for pedestrians and cyclists.
It has been made possible due to funding from the Big Lottery Fund and Herefordshire Council.
It is due to be completed between late October and mid-November.
