Chill out with our fun day
3:00pm Friday 23rd August 2013 in News
RHYTHM, rhyme and song time will be among the activities on offer to youngsters visiting a fun day in Ledbury next week.
On Friday, August 30, Ledbury Children’s Centre will hold the Little Chill Community Family Fun Day in partnership with Festival Housing.
From 11.30am to 3pm, families with children aged under five and their older siblings can burn off lots of energy with community games and a bouncy castle, get creative with arts and crafts, enjoy parachute games and water play.
Music is on the programme too with Rhythm, Rhyme and Song time, lots of opportunity to practise drumming skills and shake a tambourine.
A spokesman for the event said: “It’s not just for mums and toddlers – Let’s Get Cooking is especially for dads and lads, although other family members are welcome too.
“Healthy Lifestyles will be represented, demonstrating fun, healthy lunch boxes and how to offer tempting treats without the sugar.”
Festival Housing will also bring their mobile information office and produce from their allotment.
Face painting will be on offer and the day will be rung in to an exciting start by Ledbury’s very own town crier, Bill the Bell and the Mayor, Councillor Terry Widdows.
Families are welcome to bring a picnic and enjoy this outdoor extravaganza, with drinks available.
For more information or to book a place, costing £1.50 per family, contact Ledbury Children’s Centre on 01432 383840.
