RoboGran's rampage through Leominster streets
A VISITOR to Leominster town centre left shoppers baffled on Monday afternoon.
This animatronic puppet, pictured, was seen in the High Street, riding a bicycle and engaging in conversation with people.
A video has since emerged online of the incident – which also shows music being played from a speaker on the bicycle and traffic slowing down for the “old lady”.
Scott Downs, a driver for Crocket’s Taxis and the man behind the video, saw the puppet as he was walking back to his car.
He said: “There was a man with a hidden remote control which had lots of buttons on it and which generated the noise and the speech. It was a speech converter which meant that when he spoke into it, he sounded like an old woman.
“It got about 90 per cent of the people out on the High Street in Leominster to see what was going on, as well as traffic stopping for it.”
The puppet also had a flower which squirted water when it was close to shoppers.
