Former England Ashes winning captain Michael Vaughan cycles through Herefordshire
FORMER England Ashes-winning cricket captain Michael Vaughan cycled through Herefordshire today as part of his national charity ride.
The media pundit, who led England to Ashes glory against Australia in 2005, stayed at the Green Dragon Hotel in Hereford last night.
Vaughan – and his fellow cyclists - left the city this morning to head to the Brecon Beacons.
From there, the group, which included Test Match Special's Charles Dagnell, set off for Cardiff in time for England's One Day International against Australia at the SWALEC Stadium.
The bike ride is raising funds for the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation and the Cricket Foundation's Chance to Shine initiative.
Michael, who started the 500-mile route on Saturday, also visited Bromyard Cricket Club yesterday.
