FOLLOWING on from the success and take-up of the Find Your Feet dance sessions currently running at The Courtyard for people living with dementia and their carers, local dance group Dancefest is launching the Wye Tea Dance at the Larruperz Centre in Ross-on- Wye.
This community project will begin on Wednesday with a total of six sessions running fortnightly, led by two professional dancers.
The Wye Tea Dance is aimed at all within the community and will particularly benefit those with dementia and mental health or physical problems. Wheelchair users are welcome, and carers are encouraged to stay and get involved.
Lauren Glendinning, dance practitioner for Find Your Feet and The Wye Tea Dance, said: “These events are an exciting opportunity for people to laugh and chat and reignite some of their previous passions. My first sessions have been extremely inspirational and I hope the laughter and liveliness continues.”
