HEREFORD-based Rural Media Company has been chosen by the British Film Institute as one of only two companies in the region to deliver a BFI Film Academy and is inviting young people between the ages of 16-19 who are passionate about film making to apply now.
The BFI Film Academy aims to help train and inspire the next generation of British filmmakers and offers training for every film industry role, from writing and directing through to production, sound design, editing and camera.
The Rural Media Company BFI Film Academy will begin in October, and will be led by film industry professionals from across the Midlands.
“If you have any desire to work in the film industry this is the place to start,”
says Rural Media’s artistic director, Adrian Lambert.
“By attending the academy with Rural Media you will get access to professionals, further residential training and contacts that can really help kickstart your career in the industry.”
Applications are invited from young people between the ages of 16-19 who are passionate about film making.
The Rural Media Company BFI Film Academy costs £25, but bursaries are available for fees and travel.
