A total of 55 per cent of people said that they were "angry" or "very angry" about 10 lime trees being cut down in Edgar Street, Hereford to make way for an additional lane

THE felling of 10 lime trees in Edgar Street, Hereford, on Sunday caused a widespread by reaction from Hereford Times readers.
More than 1,100 people voted on a herefordtimes.com ballot asking people what their overriding emotion was after hearing the news.
Of 1,134 votes cast, 457 said that they were "very angry" and 168 "angry".
However, 140 people said that they were "very pleased" and 73 "pleased".
The remaining 296 people said that the news did not bother them.
The trees were cut down to make way for an additional third lane, with work due to commence next week.
