Coffee morning to aid cancer charity
1:20pm Friday 27th September 2013 in News
COFFEE lovers will be able to do their bit for cancer care this weekend.
Country Casuals in Ledbury’s Homend will be making time for what really matters by hosting a World’s Biggest Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support this morning.
Staff and customers will be getting together over a coffee and a slice of something sweet at 11am, in the hopes of brewing up much-needed funds for people affected by cancer.
The event will include an in-store raffle to win a voucher, and the store will also be selling a limited-edition necklace and scarf for Macmillan, Store manager Dorothy Moyles said: “We’re delighted to be supporting Macmillan, and are looking forward to a fantastic day of coffee, cupcakes and fund-raising with our customers. We’re excited about holding a brilliant day for a worthy cause.”
Meanwhile, Ledbury Community Health and Care Centre, Market Street, is the venue for a coffee morning tomorrow.
The event will include a prize draw, tombola and cake stall and starts at 10am.
