THE tradition of giving at Christmas is to be upheld by a popular tourist attraction.

The half-timbered Ledbury Heritage Centre in Church Lane will be selling Cards for Good Causes, on behalf of 24 national and local charities, from Tuesday, October 29.

Shop manager Ian Cook said: “Not only are Christmas cards an important source of funding for charities, they also help to raise awareness of their work.

“By popping into the shop, you can choose from a fantastic array of charity cards and stock up on all your Christmas essentials, such as wrapping paper and gift tags.

“You’ll find us by following our distinctive triangular red Santa sign in Church Lane.”

Cards for Good Causes pays the participating charities at least 70p in every pound from their card sales Staffed by local volunteers, the Ledbury pop-up shop inside the heritage centre is part of the Cards for Good Causes’ national network.

It is open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 3.30pm.
