Leominster's Grange Court turns on solar panels
12:00pm Monday 28th October 2013 in News
GRANGE Court is going green thanks to the installation of new energy-saving solar panels.
The community, enterprise and heritage hub in Leominster now boasts a set of 4kw array panels on its east wing thanks to a grant from the Severn Waste Environmental’s Landfill Communities Fund.
Martin Baines, chairman of the LARC Development Trust which owns the building, said: “We always planned to have the panels but funding became a problem and they were dropped during the building programme to save money.
“The grant from Severn Waste Environmental Fund is a great boost to our work.”
The panels were officially switched on at the Repair Café being run as part of H.Energy week in Grange Court last week.
