Raffle raises cash towards rugby club pop-up shelter

YOUNG rugby players will be able to keep warm between matches this winter thanks to a fund-raising raffle.
Parents and coaches at Ledbury Rugby Club undernines section organised the draw and raised £300 towards the purchase of a “pop-up” shelter.
Strawberry Hill Vineyard, in Newent, donated six bottles of red and two bottles of sparkling wine for the top prize.Coach Gareth Bubb thanked the vineyard and everyone who bought a ticket for their support.
“Our youngsters have a busy fixture list this season and this has enabled us to buy a much needed large shelter to keep warm and dry between matches,” he said.
Raffle winner Terry Niel said he was “delighted” with his win.
