Herefordshire escapes worst of the weather
THE county escaped the worst of the extreme weather that was predicted to bring chaos to communities.
Most major routes through Hereford are clear although some rural roads are closed due to flooding. Click here for full details.

The River Wye is, however, on flood alert with showers expected to begin this afternoon, getting heavier through the night, according to the Met Office.
Herefordshire Council is urging people to take extra care while travelling around the county due to surface water on the roads.
