HEREFORDSHIRE Council’s Independent group has just confirmed that it will not make a decision on the Tory offer of a coalition until the end of this week at the earliest.

That confirmation came from group leader Sebastian Bowen after a day of talks with the ruling Tory group.

“This is an important decision that we need to debate fully as a group, I intend that we take the necessary time needed for that debate,” said Coun Bowen.

It’s Our County rejected the Tory coalition offer on Friday.

The council is tied at 29-29 and controlled by the casting vote of its Tory chairman.
