PUPILS at a county primary academy celebrated the opening of three new classrooms last week – with some special guests.
To mark the event, children at Ashperton Primary Academy took part in a series of workshops, linked to their school environment.
And older children were treated to a writing workshop at the forest school site, by new author Tom Moorhouse, whose book, The River Singers, was published in the summer.
Younger children worked with artists Kirsty Ellis and Claire Verity, to produce beautiful drawings of woodland animals and leaves.
The classrooms have been built with careful consideration of the ecology of the area and, with their glass walls, take in views of Herefordshire.
