A LEOMINSTER chef has cooked his way to yet another title.

Dino Ordu, of Milano, has received the Papa Italian restaurant gold award for his pizza and pasta recipes once again.

He was one of 20 finalists who attempted to cook their way to success at the prestigious Lancaster Hotel in London.

“I’m always very happy to win an award,” Dino said. “I plan to take part again next year with a ravioli recipe. All my dishes are cooked fresh - I love cooking."

It was Dino's twist on the classic pizza that saw him scoop his latest award – cooking up a 'tutti frutti' concoction with pear, apple, apricot, grapes and nuts.

Dino's culinary career began in 1984 when he was living in Turkey.

He later moved to Sicily before his international travels brought him to Leominster via London.

He spent five years as a sous-chef at the Savoy hotel and seven years at the Hilton in the capital before settling down in Herefordshire in 2006.

Dino has now won the Papa gold award in 2010, 2012 and 2013 for his Italian recipes, in addition to a gold award for French cuisine he earned earlier this year.
