WHILE many of the county’s towns and villages boast a Christmas tree for the festive season, one small village is showing off its 51.

Pembridge won a competition a few years ago for its Christmas lights when there were 12 decorated trees.

But it is now something of a tradition, growing year on year to its current total of 51.

The trees' lights were turned on along with the main tree in the Market Hall in front of the New Inn last Friday.

There was also carol singing led by Pembridge school , stalls, free tea, coffee, mince pies and mulled wine.
