THREE Weobley girls who voluntarily helped the elderly during the severe snowfall at the beginning of the year have been commended.
Paige Baron, Safia Worrall and Devonne Lewis, called the 'snow angels' initially did not want any recognition for helping out the residents of Burton Crescent and Burton Gardens and remained anonymous until now.
However, the Home visiting officer for the residents found out their identities and told Police Community Support Officer Dick Allford, who put them forward for the Young Good Citizen Awards scheme run by West Mercia Police.
The trio were presented with their awards at Weobley Village Hall by Mike Ware, chairman of Weobley Parish Council, and Mr Allford.
