BLAKEMERE'S Great British Florist delivered some Christmas cheer to two county nursing homes.
Around 50 jam jars filled with festive flowers were given to residents at Hampton Grange Nursing Home in Hereford and Lynhales Hall Nursing Home in Lyonshall on Christmas Eve.
The arrangements - which included mistletoe and tulips - were given for free to each resident to brighten up their room.
Izzy Winney, marketing and sales officer with the florar company, said: "We had some flowers left over from our Christmas orders so we thought that instead of wasting them it would be good to do something nice.
"We set out on the morning and the weather was just awful, so we were trekking through the wind and rain to the nursing homes to deliver the flowers. But it was worth it as it felt so nice to be part of something like that, and I think the staff and residents were really happy."
