FIREFIGHTERS rescued a distressed woman and her pet dog from a flood near Bodenham last Friday.
Crews from Bromyard and Leominster came to aid of the pair, who were trapped in a car having driven into flood water.
Water ‘first-responders’ from Bromyard attended, with specialist lines and floats to perform water rescues.
And an ambulance was also called as the woman – who had made two emergency calls from her car – was also a diabetic.
Both dog and owner were fine, and, with water levels having peaked on Friday, emergency services were anticipating less flood-related call-outs over the weekend.
