A FIRE crew from Worcester were called out yesterday afternoon (Saturday) to help a river boat remain out of trouble as the level of the Severn fell.
The captain of the Severn Traveller, which offers tourist cruises up and down the river, called the fire service to the ship's berth off Grandstand Road at about 4.40pm.
A fire service spokesman said: "As the level of the river fell, he did not want the boat to get stuck on the path on the side of the quay, and a crew from Worcester used air bags and lines to make sure it was clear of the path."
