First published in News

JMHS' 2014 production of the well-loved classic Oliver! is currently deep into the final rehearsal phase. Over 100 students across a range of creative disciplines have been working diligently to faithfully present the musical from 7th - 8th March, 2014.

HIGH school pupils are learning to ask for more, and it's not because of school meals.

Students at the John Masefield High School are busy rehearsing for their latest production - Lionel Bart's classic musical, Oliver, which is based on the Victorian novel, Oliver Twist

School , manager, Wendy Bradbeer said: "The show features Charles Dickens' story of poor orphan Oliver's adventurous tale of survival amongst London's murkiest characters. Lionel Bart’s incredible score includes Food Glorious Food, Consider Yourself, You’ve Got to Pick-a-Pocket or Two, I’d Do Anything, Oom Pah Pah, As Long As He Needs Me and many more.

"Performances are at 7pm on Friday March 7 and 2 pm and 7 pm on Saturday March 8."

Tickets are priced at £5 for adults and £3 for concessions and are available from the Finance Office at JMHS.
