A DISABLED Leominster woman will walk almost two miles to raise funds for a young boy who was seriously injured in a car crash.

Kim Powell, aged 27, is to take part in a sponsored walk in order to raise funds for the family of Freddie Saunders.

Freddie has been receiving treatment at Birmingham Children’s Hospital since he was involved in a collision at Nordan, near Leominster, in October last year.

Kim’s mum, Christine Powell, said: “There will be a group of about seven or eight of us walking in onesies from the top of Bargates to the White Lion – about a mile and a half.

“Kim has cerebral palsy and is in a wheelchair much of the time. But she came with the idea and really wanted to do something to raise money for this little boy. We’ll have two people either side of her as we complete the walk.

“I’d love her to raise £1,000 but really we’d just love to raise as much as possible.”

The walk is to take place on Saturday March 29.

Anyone who wishes to donate can call Christine on 01568 616063.
