SEVERAL thousand pounds worth of building material and machinery were stolen from a Herefordshire farm earlier this week.

Police are investigating after a burglary took place at a farm being renovated in Felton, off the A417 Leominster to Ledbury road, between 6pm last Friday and 10am on Monday.

It is believed that thieves forced a padlock off a gate to enter the site and made their way to an office located in a disused barn.

A number of items including four Makita Impact drills, electricity extension cables, a Dewalt jackhammer breaker drill, a laser spirit level, and two Jewson wheelbarrows were stolen.

It is believed that after leaving the office, thieves forced their way into a steel storage unit where more items were stolen.

Police believe the farm may have been targeted deliberately because it was known to be empty.
