A DEBATE over Herefordshire Council’s groundbreaking 2014-15 budget is now underway at Brockington.
Early indications suggest the ruling Tory group can’t take the passing of the budget - as proposed - for granted.
Opposition attempts to stop contentious changes to school transport charges and spare arts commissioning grants are expected.
A fight also looms over the shared incinerator plan that commits the cash-strapped, cuts-slashed council to borrowing £40m over the next three years - £11m over the coming financial year alone.
