THE wet and windy weather is set to continued today and tomorrow.

AFTER heavy rainfall overnight there remains the likelyhood of some localised road flooding.

Winds will continue to strengthen throughout the day with gusts expected to reach 50mph to 60mph at times.

This is to be accompanied by heavy showers across the West Midlands with some occasional sleet and hail.

In the Welsh hills, showers will be more persistent with 20mm to 25mm of rain expected in the next 24 to 26 hours.

Sunday is expected to be another windy day with showers - although less than today - and the Monday looks set to be better with sunny spells.

However, a new system will arrive Monday night/ Tuesday morning and is likely to deliver another significant amount of rain in most areas, along with another spell of strong gusty winds.
