HEAVY rain and strong winds battered the county over the weekend, with emergency services called out several times to help rescue people from flood water.
Fire crews from Hereford helped to rescue an adult and two children from a car stuck in flood water on Rectory Road, Hampton Bishop, on Saturday.
A female was also carried to safety by crews from Leintwardine after her vehicle became stuck in flood water at Walford at around 11pm the same evening.
Crews were called to Leintwardine again twice yesterday to help rescue two cars stuck in flooded water.
And a car with two occupants was pushed to dry land by crews from Leominster and Tenbury from a flooded road on the B4361 near Orleton.

Forecasters at the Met Office are predicting a little respite today with some sunny spells but that isn’t expected to last long with a new weather system set to arrive tonight/ tomorrow morning.
That system is likely to deliver another significant amount of rain in most areas, along with another spell of strong gusty winds.
River levels are extremely high with the River Lugg close to the levels it reached in the 2007 floods - when it was at its highest ever.
The River Wye is also still very high but was expected to fall overnight.
