Fire crews helped to rescue the elderly people yesterday.
FIRE crews helped to rescue an elderly couple from a car stuck in water near Blakemere last Thursday afternoon.
The pair were helped by water first responders at around 2.30pm when their car became stuck in water on the B4352.
They did not require medical treatment but a break-down truck attended the scene.
