A TALK about the man whose death was the catalyst for the First World War will take place in Ledbury next month.

Author Sue Woolmans has written a book on the subject and will talk about the life and death of the Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife Sophie.

The war began 100 years ago this year and the talk also aims to clear up any confusion about the reasons for the war breaking out.

The talk takes place at 7.30pm at the Burgage Hall on Thursday March 13.

Tickets cost £3 and can be purchased from Ledbury Books and Maps.
