FLOODING at Ledbury cemetery last month caused a funeral to be delayed for a week.
The Town Council, which owns the cemetery, off New Street, is now looking into better drainage for the site.
A family member of the deceased, who approached the council with concerns, was informed that all necessary ground surveys required by regulations had taken place previously, "to comply with regulations for use as a burial ground".
Planning permission had been granted for the cemetery on that basis.
However, the town council has promised to monitor the situation and seek solutions.
Coun Martin Eager, chairman of the town's environment and leisure committee reported at a meeting last week: "A week after the flooding the burial did take place.
"But we are looking at drainage, to make sure it doesn't happen again."
