A STREET collection helped raise almost £1,000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care in Ledbury.
The collection took place on Saturday March 8 and signalled the launch of the Great Daffodil Appeal.
It raised £900 for the charity, which provides nursing care for people with terminal illnesses.
Bruce Foster, the chairman of the Ledbury fund-raising team, said the event was the 'best launch appeal to date'.
He said: "Yet again we acknowledge and recognise the amazing generosity of the Ledbury community and wish to publicly thank all those who contributed and purchased a daffodil badge."
