CORONATION Street star Mikey North joined ghost hunters at Hereford's Shirehall last weekend.
The actor, who plays Gary Windass in the popular ITV soap, took part in a number of activities at the venue with 40 other guests in the hope of making contact with spirits.
It was organised by Spooktacular Events which host ghost hunting events around the country.
Organiser, Natalie Lawrence, said: "The evening went extremely well and Mikey really enjoyed it.
"At one point he went into a trance like state during a seance – he said he has never experienced that before.
"Many odd paranormal experiences occurred including the prison cells alarms going off on their own accord. "The ouija board session in the main hall was good and each time an angry spirit came through telling guests to get out.
"People also experienced being touched and hearing strange noises."
The Shirehall has a somewhat grim and interesting history. Public hangings took place outside when it
was a prison, and in one of the court rooms there is still the original hook where the judge would hang his black cap before pronouncing the death sentence.
