A HEREFORD nursery encouraged children to spread their wings and get wiggling for charity.
To celebrate the 45th anniversary of much-loved children's book, The Hungry Caterpillar, 73 children took part in the Giant Wiggle event held last Wednesday at Whitecross Day Nursery.
This saw children don fancy dress to take part in an obstacle course, and this combined with a raffle and a cake sale raised more than £120 for charity.
This money will go to Action for Children, which supports vulnerable and neglected children around the UK.
Donna Crispin, preschool deputy supervisor and event organiser, said: "The day was really successful. The children worked very hard and thoroughly enjoyed themselves."
