A SHEEP had to be rescued by firefighters after it became entangled in strapping attached to a gate.
Gloucestershire Fire & Rescue Service were called just before 6.10am today (Thursday) to Clifford Mesne, near Newent.
A crew from Newent Fire Station and an animal rescue team from Gloucester North Fire Station attended and quickly released the sheep which was uninjured.
The crews left the scene after 40 minutes.
