A CAMPAIGN to bring the "sparkle" back to Leominster's Christmas lights switch-on has been launched.
A group of six local mums have joined together to form the Leominster Christmas Jubilee group and will work alongside the town council to organise a number of events to raise funds for a future 'switch-on'.
Chairman of the group, Lisa Paget-Davis, said: "Leominster is a very tight-knit community and ceremonies like these bring the town together. People socialise and it's a good opportunity for local businesses to capitalise on the festive season.
"We have been asking for donations with regards to our Easter Market Stall being held on April 4 at Leominster's Friday Market and the response has been overwhelming."
There will also be a prize bingo night at the British Legion on April 28, with eyes down from 7.30pm.
The group is also looking into holding a monthly children's arts and crafts workshop and a 'Flix in the Stix' to try and bring Leominster's children together.
Anyone who would like to get involved can contact Lisa on 07432708827 or 01568 589190, secretary/events manager Sadie Varli 07807012190 or treasurer Amanda Davis on 07843849896.
