A COMMUNITY shop in Leominster has helped a voluntary group to raise hundreds of pounds.

Community Wheels – a volunteer service that helps people who struggle with transport in north and central Herefordshire – ran the OAKS pop-up shop in Leominster's High Street for one week.

And it was hailed a success by supervisor Wendy Schuster.

“We had a wonderful amount of support both with the quantity and variety of goods donated and the volunteers who helped to staff the shop," she said.

"It enabled us to raise several hundred pounds. In the light of recent Council funding changes to our transport scheme the money will be extremely useful. We are immensely grateful to everyone for their contribution”.
